Working through a pandemic

The genotyping survey in Cambodia (Case Medical Student) will be continued. The Case Medical Student is going to take a year out from medical school to pursue an MPH and use the Cambodian samples for his capstone. I have met with the student and also connected the student with Miriam Cremer. They met on November 21st. Currently waiting for the proposal which will be merged with some interests of the PI in the Case Lab where the student works.

The OSU NIH self-collection study is ongoing supported by our kits, consultation, and arranged special pricing for genotyping through Atila Biosystems.

JLB continues to head the medical advisory board for Frantz Viral Therapeutics. Topical Artesunate Phase I trials in cervix, vulva, and anal disease are completed. Phase I vulva trial abstract submitted to 2023 HPV meeting in Washington DC. Phase II trials for CIN, VIN, and AIN will all be ongoing within next 1-4 months.

JLB continues to assist Atila Biosystems with a collaboration with the ANCHOR Study to test and genotype samples (10,000+ samples)

In China with our long time collaborators in Shenzhen, we are doing intra-laboratory and inter-laboratory (Shenzhen and Beijing) validation of the new ScreenFire Assay (a collaboration between Atila Biosystems and the NIH).
