This video is still current with the exception that we now use toothpicks instead of the fine pick-ups. Also if the biopsies are being performed very quickly, we assign the index finger of the free hand of the pathology technician as quadrant 1, middle finger Q2, ring finger Q3, and small finger Q4, thumb ECC (if needed). Then the individual biopsies are transferred one by one to the filter paper and the vials.
